SA Fire Protection has secured a contract for the protection of two cryogenic vessels with SIL 2 certified foam based fire suppression systems. 
The company Versalis has awarded SA the design and manufacturing of a foam package equipped with SIL 3 deluge valves and control panel.
The system forms a chain of Logic Solver, Detectors & Final Element in which a safety integrity function capable of SIL 2 has been gained using S81 SIL 2 F&G Panel and VDD SIL 3 double chamber deluge valve including its electro-pneumatic redundant activation systems.
