SA Fire Protection has been awarded a contract for the protection of twenty-eight train sets with a SIL 2 certified water mist fire suppression system.  
The company AnsaldoBreda has awarded SA Fire the design and manufacturing of a water mist package equipped with a SIL 2 actuation system.
The package was designed and tested against ARGE guidelines for fire protection systems on rolling stock and was interfaced with a fire detection system manufactured by ISE. The skid was hosted under one of the carriages in an enclosure specifically designed by Carabelli S.p.A.
